Those of you who know me, know that I love symbolism and a good theme. While I have enjoyed blowing things up after each chemo round, I find the temperatures in the single digits take some of the fun out of it. So I have had to come up with something symbolic to do after each treatment in phase II. I decided to take my friend Marion’s suggestion to channel my inner Pooh:
“So remember Winnie the Pooh and his red balloon floating up and away . . . when your cares are too heavy, just tie them up in that balloon and watch it going up, up and away!”
I plan to release one red balloon every week for the next 12 weeks when I get home from chemo to represent one more step towards remission. For those of you who live in the area, on March 28th, after my last session in phase II, I plan to release an entire bouquet of red balloons and laugh and clap as they go up, up and away. Please plan to join me or release your own balloon.
Love! Love! Love! This idea! I may just take March 28th off and come to the launch!!!! Just think you have only 10 more! Celebrate the good days!!!
You are so creative! I love this!
